Rye in the Community
Rye Bar and Restaurant in Elmira actively contributes to the local community through various initiatives. They established a community garden with support from local businesses, providing fresh produce and a space for residents to connect. Additionally, they offer ‘Pay it Forward’ vouchers, allowing patrons to sponsor meals for those in need, fostering a sense of solidarity. The restaurant has hosted community walks twice a week, promoting health and social interaction among participants. By offering a welcoming environment and engaging in these activities, Rye Bar and Restaurant humbly tries to play role in enhancing community spirit in Elmira.

Charlie Hunter
Charlie Hunter, an Elmira native, spent most of his 25 years away in San Francisco before returning home. A skilled photographer, with a love for travel and good food, Charlie has a taste for quality and an eye for what it takes to bring people together.
Akin
Akin is originally from Philadelphia, PA. He has worked at Rye for years and is an all around go-to guy. When not at work he wrestles with his 4 sons and camps with his family.
Abbey
Abbey moved to Elmira shorty after the opening of the garage and has been with us ever since. She takes pride in helping run the garage and providing the best possible service! When not here, she is at home being a mom to her two kiddos.
Calvin
Calvin is born and raised in Elmira and has been at Rye since it opened its doors. He is our mixologist extrodinaire, managing all beverage orders. When Calvin isn’t at work, he enjoys watching baseball and spending time with his family.
